Doodlin’ is vocalist Kelly Dickson’s second New York jazz recording. This album is a collaboration with Norwegian guitarist Werner Kristiansen and features the great George Garzone on Saxophones throughout. Recorded in January 2007 the trio was also joined by Jeff Pedraz on Double Bass and Pete Zimmer on drums.

Doodlin’ comprises a selection of jazz standards as well as two originals compositions, one written by Kristiansen and the second penned by Garzone honouring the late Mike Brecker. (The album was recording shortly after his passing).
 

Jacôby is the joint creative outlet of Kelly Dickson and guitarist Werner Kristiansen. They are currently writing and recording material for their debut album and recorded their EP – ‘6 Ways’ in October 06.
 

Every third Thursday of the month ‘Mamafeelgood Funkagenda’ is held ‘Upstairs at Ronnie’s Bar’ at London’s Premiere Jazz Club ‘Ronnie Scotts’. Kelly pays homage to the soul/funk scene of the 70’s in her own inimitable style backed by the hard-hitting grooves of her retro funk band Mamafeelgood. Each month special guest artists join Kelly and Mamafeelgood.
 

Kelly and Werner mix up a groovy blend of chilled out Jazz, Funk and Soul every Tuesday evening at Jewel Bar Covent Garden.
